Introgression

Quantitative trait locus (QTL) mapping is one of the most important quantitative genetic approaches for identifying the genetic factors underlying phenotypic variation in pigs. By linking genomic regions to complex traits, QTL-based studies have provided a foundational framework for dissecting the genetic architecture of growth, reproduction, meat quality, health, and other economically or biologically important traits. In this module, we collected 58,344 QTLs, eQTLs, and association records from the latest PigQTLdb Release 58 (December 29, 2025). These records were curated from 869 publications and represent 409 base traits and 1,099 trait variants. To further facilitate biological interpretation, we also provide genomic functional annotations for the curated QTL loci presented below.
