Porcine endogenous retroviruses (PERVs) remain an important biosafety concern in xenotransplantation. This sub-module compiles polymorphic PERV transposon insertion polymorphisms (TIPs) together with their source-breed information and annotates these loci using the same regulatory framework applied throughout Pig Matrix. Users can examine overlapping candidate cis-regulatory elements, proximal and distal candidate genes, and chromatin-loop information to evaluate whether individual insertion sites fall within potentially functional genomic contexts.
